Superstar...

Hello everyone,

Well - it has finally stopped raining here!  It is chilly with blue skies which is a big improvement!

I whooshing by today with a couple of sweet cards made with the fabulous
February release
These cards were made by die cutting the stars from the
and layering them onto a background created with the
and a star embossing folder.

I have used papers from the
(The second card was made with paper scraps from my stash which I though just went well together).

I made the overall card shape by die cutting the star panels with the largest die from the

The sentiments I have used are from
and
You're Too Kind Clear Stamps

I finished the cards by adding a
Starry Sky Sparkletz
to the centre of each star.

These cards are in quite a different style for me but I really enjoyed making them!

You can say aaaahhhhh (: ...

Hello friends,

Hope you're having a good Sunday and aren't too badly affected by the terrible weather!  It is still lashing it down and howling a gale in Gloucestershire!

I have been having so much fun colouring with pencils recently, and I really enjoyed making these three sweet cards.

I am trying to be a lot more organised around my card making this year and really concentrate on doing what makes me completely happy - including batch making some cards so I have a few 'up my sleeve'!

These beautiful stamps from
are perfect for rustling up some cute quick cards.

Stacey Yacula Studio - Dolly (Mouse First Prize)
Stacey Yacula Studio - Milk Set (Mistletoe Farm Collection)
Purple Onion Designs - Everyday Blurbs

Stacy Yacula Studio - Eve (Sleeping Mouse)
Stacey Yacula Studio - Mushroom Trio (Garden Blooms Collection)
Stacey Yacula Studio Sweet Occasions Sentiment Set

To make these cards I first stamped the cute creatures onto Bockingford card, masked them and stamped the backgrounds - being the sign, stool and mushrooms.

I then coloured the designs with Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D'Ache Pablo's and finished the backgrounds with Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass and Mowed lawn).

I created the card designs with die cuts of Design Paper (Lawn Fawn Spring Fling - Dies To Die For), Kraft card and a paper doily - (which I hardly ever use but they just seemed to suit these cards)!

Finally I added the sentiments and some Star Dust Stickles Glitter.

&

I really enjoyed making this card and I challenged myself to not make Goth Girl too 'halloweeny', just to show how versatile this stamp set is!

I created the back ground by stamping and heat embossing the
and blending Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the top.  (I gave the stamped background a gentle rub with a baby wipe to remove ink from the heat embossed pattern).
I then created a 13cm x 13cm square.

Next I created a 10cm x 13cm rectangle and die cut a circle in it using the 7cm diameter
I layered the rectangle onto the background as shown.  I stamped a sentiment from the
and then set the design to one side.

 I stamped
in black ink onto white card and coloured her with Copic Markers.
Hair - R05, N6, N8, 100
Skin - E04, E11, E00, E000, Eyes - C1, C00
Clothes - R37, R35, R32, W8, W6, W4

I cut the image out and fixed it to the card design with

Finally I added some enamel dots.

Who can resist a donkey!!!...

Hello friends,

I'm trying to catch up with all my blog posts so here is card I made a while ago for a lovely friend of mine.
I have a real soft spot for donkeys! <3 (Be honest - who does n't)???

This card is made with the gorgeous

I used my favourite card for pencils - Bockingford Hot Pressed, coloured this cutie with Faber Castell Polychromos and cut him/her (?) out! (:

To create the background I cut a 10cm x 13cm rectangle of Bockingford card and blended Distress Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick over it.  I also splattered it with water and Perfect Pearls to create texture.

I then used the largest Fishtail die to cut a piece another piece of Bockingford and fixed it to the background.

I cut out a fishtail banner die... (Your Next Stamp - discontinued - but any small die would do, you could adapt this bit)!... and stamped the sentiment from
Stamping Bella Mail Chick
in black ink onto it.  I fixed the sentiment to the card design as shown, along with the donkey!

Best Friends...

Happy Sunday Friends!

We are having terrible weather here in the UK!  - torrential rain and very high winds!

I hope everyone is staying safe!

I'm here today with a colourful creation made with a fab image from wonderful
This card was great fun to make because I used my favourite colouring medium - pencils!... and made an inky background!

I stamped this super image from
onto Bockingford Watercolour card, coloured it with Derwent Lightfast pencils and then cut it out.

Lightfast Pencils Used
Browns - Chocolate, Autumn Brown, Venetian Red, Sienna
Reds - Autumn Red, Strawberry

I then used the second largest
to die cut a second piece of Bockingford card.

I then blended Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral, Tumbled Glass and Seedless preserves over the card.  I then splattered water and white paint over the inks to create some texture.

Using the largest
I die cut a piece of Pearlized Purple card and fixed the background to it with

Then again using tape I fixed the image to the background as shown.

In Black Ink I stamped the Best Friends sentiment from the
onto the same card and cut each word out individually.

I fixed the sentiment to the card design as shown.

You are loved...xxx

Hello everyone!

I'm continuing my week of love theme today with a card made with an absolutely beautiful die set from wonderful

I absolutely loved making this card, it is something a little different for me but I enjoyed getting inky!

I cut a rectangle of watercolour card and used a die from the
tomato the bottom edge curvy.

Then splattered ink across the card.  (Catherine Pooler Ink pad in Samba dabbed on my glass mat, spritzed with water and splattered with a largish paint brush)

Next I die cut a selection of hearts using the
(I used the same water colour card)

Leaving the hearts in the dies I blended ink over them - I love that technique, it leaves a really nice border around the die cuts!
I used Catherine Pooler Ink pads in Samba and Over Coffee

I the fixed the hearts across the centre of the splattered card.  I glued some directly to the back ground and fixed a few with
to add depth.

I stamped the you are loved sentiment from the
across the bottom of the design in black ink

Finally I tied some twine around the top of the card design and layered it onto a rectangle of kraft card.
