Polka Dot Pals Syeda and Fern - Whimsy Stamps Fresh Friday

Happy Fri-yay friends!

It's my favourite day of the week because it's not just any ordinary Friday it is FRESH Friday!

This is where we take some newer and older Whimsy Stamps stash and mix it up a bit! 

This week I am playing with

As always with stamping and masking you start at the front and work backwards.

I stamped the images on Kraft card with brown ink and coloured them with 

Copic Markers and Derwent Light Fast Pencils

Skin - E34, E31, E30, E00 LF Anthraquinoid Pink

Duck - YR24, Y21, Y15

Clothes - BV29, BV25, C3, R39, R35, R35, YR18, YR04, YR18, YR15

Syeda

Hair N6, N4, N2 LF Mars Black, LF Fossil Grey, LF White

Skin - E34, E31, E30, E00 LF Anthraquinoid Pink

Pig - E04, R12, T3, LF White

Clothes - Clothes BV29, BV25, C3, R39, R35, R35, YR18, YR04, YR18, YR15

Fence - E29, E27, E25, E23 LF Autumn Brown, LF Wheat

Ground YG67, YG17, YG25, YG23 White Gel Pen

Once I had finished colouring I used the 

Notched Squares Dies*

to cut the image out and stamped some sentiments from the

Magical Birthday Wishes Clear Stamps

Gothic Die Set - Whimsy Stamps Fresh Friday

Happy Fresh Fri-yay friends!

While you are reading this hubby and I are on our way to our beloved Dorset to spend the day sorting out our caravan in preparation for our summer break next month!

It's going to be a mad and busy day but soooooo worth it when we are tucked up on the south coast for most of July and all of August! 

...anyways...

I'm here today to show you this week's 

Whimsy Stamps

Fresh Friday 

project! 

I LOVE Fresh Friday - this is when we mix it up a bit by using some older and newer

Whimsy Stamps

goodies together!

Such FUN!

This week I have used  

Gothic Die Set 

This card is a bit different for me but I really loved putting it together!

I blended Distress Oxide Inks over a panel of card which I had cut to fit just inside the

Slimline Marquee Die

I then used the

Messy Mesh Background Stamp 

to stamp

and heat emboss over the blended inks in white.

I splattered the background with water and Perfect Pearls and fixed the design to the 

slimline die cut card. 

Next I die cut a set of angel wings and a halo in white card and vellum using the

  Gothic Die Set

I splashed water and Perfect Pearls over the wings and attached them to the background with a twine bow as shown.

I stamped a sentiment from the 

Sympathy So Deeply Sorry Clear Stamps Set

in grey ink in the bottom right hand corner of the card design.

I finished the design by adding some 

Crystal Hearts Sparkletz

I really loved making this card, I think it has so any possible uses!

Ellie is coloured with

Copic Markers 

Ellie - N6, N4, N2, N0, R20, R00, T3

Bubbles - BG13, BG11, BG10, BV02, BV00, BV000, RV02, RV00, Y0000

Grass YG61, YG11

To create the background I die cut the image with a notched square die.  I left the image in the die and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around the edge.

Whimsy Stamps Fresh Friday - Mermaid Escape...

Hello friends,

I'm back again today with my favourite 

Whimsy Stamps 

feature

Fresh Friday!

Every week, we'll be mixing up new goodies with a few oldies from the stash. 

This week, I'm playing with

Mermaid Escape Clear Stamps by Deb Davis - Amped2Stamp
Build An Ocean Die Set
6 x 6 Pack Mermaid Paper

This was such a fun card to make!

First I created an inky background using the technique from my Tuesday Tutorial which you can find

HERE

I die cut the background with the second largest 

Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die

added some blue glitter and the sentiment as shown

and set it aside.

Then I stamped the cute mermaid in black ink onto white card and coloured her with Copic markers

Skin - E71, E11, E01, E00, E000

Hair - G24, BG10, G00, G000

Tail and Top - RV52, RV95, RV93, Y0000

I cut her out and set her to one side.

Then with white card and vellum I die cut a selection of shapes from the wonderful 

Build An Ocean Die Set

and made them sparkly with glue and glitter!

I covered a card blank with a piece of beautiful 

6 x 6 Pack Mermaid Paper

and layered the inky background, the mermaid and the glittery ocean shapes onto it as shown.

Finally I added some 

Starry Sky Sparkletz

I have the created a circular card design, as shown, with

I added the 

Birthday Word and Shadow Die

sentiment 

and used the happy sentiment from the

 Finally I added a few dots of Star Dust Stickles

This week, I'm playing with

Goth Girl Clear Stamps

&

Illusions Background Rubber Stamp

I really enjoyed making this card and I challenged myself to not make Goth Girl too 'halloweeny', just to show how versatile this stamp set is!

I created the back ground by stamping and heat embossing the 

Illusions Background

and blending Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the top.  (I gave the stamped background a gentle rub with a baby wipe to remove ink from the heat embossed pattern).

I then created a 13cm x 13cm square.

Next I created a 10cm x 13cm rectangle and die cut a circle in it using the 7cm diameter 

Pierced and Stitched Circle Die

I layered the rectangle onto the background as shown.  I stamped a sentiment from the 

Goth Girl Clear Stamps 

and then set the design to one side.

 I stamped 

 Goth Girl

in black ink onto white card and coloured her with Copic Markers.

Hair - R05, N6, N8, 100

Skin - E04, E11, E00, E000, Eyes - C1, C00

Clothes - R37, R35, R32, W8, W6, W4

I cut the image out and fixed it to the card design with 

Crafty Foam Tape

Finally I added some enamel dots.
