Magnolia Die - Whimsy Stamps

We have a gorgeous Mini Release today at

Whimsy Stamps

I have used a beautiful new die

Magnolia A2 Die 

by Denise Lynn and Deb Davis (Amped2Stamp)

It is not the sort of product I would usually play with but I have to say I LOVE it!

I made three cards straight out of the box and really enjoyed myself!

I used a selection of inky backgrounds (the ones I hoard)! (: and tried a few different die cut designs.

To be honest, I did n't need to stop at three - I could have made dozens!

I think this slimline card is my own favourite!

Slimline Hearts Background Die - Whimsy Stamps

 Happy Thursday everyone!

I'm whizzing by today with a card made with a fab-u-lous new slimline die from wonderful

Whimsy Stamps

Slimline Hearts Background Die

I have an up front apology here - the photo's are grim!  The card is glittery which is no bad thing but trying to get a decent pic in Gloucestershire winter light was difficult!  This is as good as it gets - I do hope you can see enough to enjoy this card!

I created the inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder. 

When everything was dry I die cut the card with the 

Slimline Hearts Background Die

and then splattered white paint over it.  (I do this after diecutting as white paint leaves a slightly raised texture which I rather like and it gets crushed if you add it before die cutting!

I then die cut a piece of purple glittery card with the same die and mounted it behind the inky die cut, showing the edge slightly like a shadow.

I fixed the die cuts to a piece of white glitter card and added a strip of purple glitter card along the left hand side.

Finally I stamped a sentiment from the 

Beaucoup Bouquet Sentiment Set 

onto a strip of torn vellum and heat embossed it in blue.

I'm here today with a slightly different card from me!

I have used a lovely selection of products by

Whimsy Stamps

to create a delicate thank you card.

Beaucoup Bouquet Die Set

The card is so easy to make and the final effect is so pretty!

First, I stamped the 

Messy Mesh Background Rubber Cling Stamp

onto a piece of card and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I then blended Distress Oxides in Evergreen Bough, Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw and Faded Lilac over the card as shown. 

Then I die cut the card with the 

Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die Set

and cut a circle from the centre of the rectangle with 

Pierced and Stitched Circles Die Set

With the same circle die I cut a piece of white linen card to replace the circle I had cut out.

I fixed the messy mesh background and the white circle onto a piece of firm card die cut with the same size

and set it aside.

Next I stamped and heat embossed in white onto vellum the 

Beaucoup Bouquet Clear Stamps Set

I cut the stamped images out and coloured them on the reverse with Copic Markers, no blending required here, just pick your favourite colours and go for it!

I fixed some flowers and foliage firmly to the left hand side of the circle die.

Then I die cut the 

Thanks Word Die

in silver glitter card and fixed that across the centre of the circle just touching the flowers.

I stamped the 'a bunch' sentiment in black using the

You're Too Kind Clear Stamps

and die cut it with a

Quick Strips Die

Finally I fixed the sentiment to the right of the card design.

Love for Australia...

Hello everyone, 

Happy Fri-yay!

Lovely Crissy Armstrong has designed a set of beautiful images to show our love and support for Australia through the awful time they are having with bushfires.

...and what's more, the wonderful folks at Whimsy Stamps have decided to donate proceeds made from these stamps to the wildlife relief fund!

I chose to use the gorgeous

Love For Australia - Koala 

I printed the Koala and die cut it into a circle with the Whimsy Stamps

Pierced and Stitched Die Set

Then I coloured the background with Copic E19 and E15 and sponged it with Copic Colourless Blender.  I also used the Colourless Blender marker to make lots of different sized circles over the background. 

I coloured the gorgeous Koala with Copics

W7, W6, W4, W2, W1 and used a pink pencil to add the rosy cheeks.

I coloured the eucalyptus tree with

E55, E57, E41, E44, E47, YG99, YG63, YG61.

I layered the image onto a piece of Whimsy Stamps

Giraffe 6x6 Paper

which I had die cut with Whimsy Stamps

Notched Squares Dies

I tore a strip of vellum and stamped the Tenderness sentiment from

Polka Dot Pals Syeda Clear Stamps Set (Barbara Sproatmeyer)

onto it.

I wrapped the vellum sentiment around the card design as shown.

Finally I added some dots of 

Star Dust Stickles Glitter Glue

around the sweet Koala and made his/her nose shiny with some 

Glossy Accents

Happy Saturday friends!
I'm whooshing by today with a really quick and simple thank you card - because we all need some of these after the festive season!

This card is made with gorgeous goodies from

 Whimsy Stamps

To make this card I stamped and heat embossed in white the 

Messy Mesh Cling Rubber Background Stamp 
and then blended Distress Inks over the top.  I used the colours - Evergreen Bough, Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac and Scattered Straw.

I then used the 

Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies

to cut a circle of the patterned background which I layered onto die cut circles of white and silver glitter card.

I then stamped onto vellum and heat embossed in white the beautiful flowers and foliage from

Beaucoup Bouquet Clear Stamps Set

and cut them out.

I coloured the vellum images on the reverse  with Copic Markers in RV55, R46, G46, Y38

I then created the card design by fixing the vellum flowers and foliage to the right hand side of the circle with a sentiment from the 

You're Too Kind Clear Stamps Set

die cut with at
