A Girlie Girl

Good Morning...
This week's challenge at
is to make a card that is quite unashamedly
'Girlie'!

The prize for the lucky winner is a gift voucher form our lovely sponsors
Mary and Andrea from
The Ribbon Girl
Today's DT card is made with an image from one of my favourite designers, Elisabeth Bell.
This image is from the Ready To Colour Art Book 'Summer Sweetness'
by The Hobby House

I coloured her with Copics and used papers from Pink Paislee's Pen Pal's collection to create layers.  I distressed the edges of the papers with a distressing tool and Walnut Stain distress ink.

I added some pretty paper flowers and Baker's twine from my stash along with some enamel dots by Doodlebugs.

....and here we are a really girlie girl...so sweet...

Summer Daze...

Good Morning...

I hope you are all enjoying this Bank Holiday Weekend...
Today's card is my Guest Designer card for Elisabeth Bell's World.
I was lucky enough to win Elisabeth's last challenge and part of the prize was to be a Guest DT for the May Challenge.  I am so thrilled to be asked to join in.  How lucky am I?
I used this lovely image by Elisabeth Bell from The Hobby House Art Book - Summer Daze.
I coloured this cute duo with Copics and used a clear Gelly Roll Pen to embellish some parts of the image - fish, flowers and rushes.

I embossed some Core'dinations Card with clouds and flowers and used that along with a piece of my favourite Graphic 45 paper to create some layers.

Finally, I added some pretty flowers from The Hobby House and a button and some twine from The Ribbon Girl.

Here we are, the sweetest pair, enjoying their Summer Daze...

Dipping Your Toe In The Water...

Good Evening...

A later post than normal but we have had a busy day in the mouse house!  I was asked to join a choir who were singing especially at a very dear man's funeral service this afternoon.  Possibly one of the most cheerful funerals I have ever been to, but very fitting for the loveliest of gentlemen!
Today's card is something a bit different for me.
I was very happy when my lovely friend Sheila (who is the extremely hardworking owner of Pink Tulip Creations) gave me this beautiful uncoloured image from The Hobby House and asked if I could make a card.

Well, I have to say, I am hooked!  Aside from being such a darling image, the card was some of the best to colour on with Copics I have ever come across! (Yes, I know I am a marker geek and I should get out more)!

Anyway, I coloured this sweetie with Copics then layered and matted her up with some blue card and some papers from Maya Road Vintage Spring Basics.

I added a die cut butterfly and some Hobby House Flowers along with some lace and adhesive pearls.

Finally, I added some twine and a charm from the Ribbon Girl and dotted about a little bit of Liquid Pearls.

And here we are, a brave girl dipping her toe in the water, (I know how she feels)!
