Thank you for being you...

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm here today sharing another card from the of three made with Stamping Bella images for May's Making Cards Magazine.

I was so happy to be asked to make these cards and I am over the moon with how they turned out!

Here's how to create this card!

1.Create a 13.5cm x 13.5cm white card blank with the fold at the side.  Create a square of design paper the same size and fix it to the card blank.  Set aside

2.Create a 12.5cm x 12.5cm square of card suitable for Distress Ink Blending.  With white ink stamp the Love backdrop and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Allow the embossing to dry and set fully.

3.Blend Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide over the embossed design, fading it out towards the top of the card.  Flick water over the design and allow to dry.  Mix some Perfect Pearls powder with a little water and flick that over the design too.  Allow to dry. Fix the card design to the card blank set aside earlier.

4. Stamp the Curvy Girl image on to alcohol marker card with black ink and cut it out with the matching die.  Colour with alcohol markers as shown, adding Wink of Stella to the flowers and Diamond Stickles to the folds of the skirt.  Fix the coloured image to the card design, slightly left of centre as shown.

5.With Archival Ink stamp the sentiment to the right of the image as shown.

Forever isn't long enough...

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend - and if it isn't a Bank holiday where you are, I hope you're having a lovely time anyway!

I'm here today with another of the beautiful
May new release images.

As a true lover of our four legged friends I absolutely love this set of stamps!

To make this card I die cut a piece of Bockingford with the

I stamped this beautiful image with black ink and then created a mask which I put over the image while blended Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides over the background.

I flicked water and Perfect Pearls over the background and dried it with a heat tool.

I then peeled of the mask (my favourite part)! and coloured the image with Caran d'Ache Pablos pencils

I then layered the design onto a circular piece of design paper.

I used the
to cut three clouds and then stamped sentiments from the
Best Buddies Clear Stamp Set
on two of them.

I embossed the third cloud with paw prints.

I fixed the clouds to the design with clear glue as shown and dabbed some
Star Dust Stickles
around them.

A Gnomie Glow!...

Hello everyone!

Happy Fri-yay!

I'm here today with another of May's fabulous new release images from

To make this card I used the new
to cut a piece of card, suitable for alcohol markers.

I stamped this fabulous image with black ink and started colouring - background first!

Once I had achieved an effect I was happy with I used a sponge to dab Copic Colourless Blender all over the background to add some texture.

Then, I left the background alone and went on to colour this amazing gnome and his snail pal!

I stamped the sentiment from the
set and die cut it with
fixing it to the card design as shown.

I layered the coloured design onto a piece of black glitter card and finished it by adding some dabs of
Star Dust Stickles
and some
Glossy Accents
to the snail's eyes.

Breeze and a background..

Hello everyone!

I'm back after a little break, we've just had a fabulous holiday in Dorset, what a beautiful county that is!  We did lots of walking and ate several very good cream teas!

I was so happy to recently be asked to contribute to Creative Stamping Magazine  with three beautiful digis from

I did a feature which included some handy tips about creating your own backgrounds for your stamped images!
Here's how I made this cute card!

1.With the 12.5cm circle die create a white card blank with the fold at the top.  With the same die create a square of design paper the same size and fix it to the card blank.  Set aside

2.Print the Breeze digi at a height of about 10cm.  With the 11.5cm circle die cut out the image and colour it with alcohol markers as shown.

3.Create a cloud template with card using the Up In The Clouds die set.
Use the cloud template to mask the background as you apply Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.
Starting at the top of the design move the template from left to right carefully adding the distress oxide with a brush or sponge as you go.

4. Tear a strip of vellum approximately 14.5cm x 6cm and emboss it with the clouds embossing folder.  Layer the vellum and the coloured design onto the card blank set aside earlier.

5. With black ink stamp the Special Friend sentiment onto white card .  Cut the words out with sharp scissors and fix to the top right of the card design as shown.

Top Tip: - When using Distress Ink on the background start with a very small amount of ink on your blending sponge or brush – it is easy to build the colour up but you can’t take it away if you go in too heavy handed to begin with!

Military Heroes...

Hello everyone,

During May our friends across the pond are celebrating Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, VE Day; in the US May is always Military Appreciation Month.

In recognition of the great sacrifice made by all military veterans the very lovely and talented Deb Davis has designed several military themed stamp and die sets for wonderful

I made this card using the fabulous clear stamp set

Using tape I masked a rectangle on a piece of watercolour card and used Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Chipped Sapphire to create a wash of colour across the card - rather like a sunset.

I then die cut the card with the largest rectangle die from the

Using stamps from the
set and black Stazon ink I created the design as shown.

I finally stamped the always remember sentiment onto a banner and fixed to to the card with a star and black twine.
