Happy Fri-Yay friends!
I hope the week has been kind to you!
Today's card is made with a gorgeous new die set from
I must apologise for another photo fail - the light is terrible all day here and trying to get a decent photo is proving difficult (and frustrating)!
First I created an inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral and Barn Door over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.
Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder.
When everything was dry I die cut the card with the
and then splattered white paint over it. (I do this after diecutting as white paint leaves a slightly raised texture which I rather like and it gets crushed if you add it before die cutting!
I then repeated this with Distress Oxides in Ground Expresso and Pumice Stone.
I combined the inky pieces to create the toadstools and used the paler pieces for those oh too cute fairies!
I then blended Distress Oxide in Speckled Egg over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card to create the background and splashed water on it.
Next I created a 13cm x 13cm square of white card and used the the 8.5cm
to cut an aperture in the centre of it.
I stamped the make a wish sentiment from the
onto the card front.
I layered the white card onto the blue background with
and assembled the rest of the card as shown, finally adding some glitter glue and some
as a bit of fairy sparkle!
