Colourful Tree Rings! - Whimsy Stamps

Happy Wednesday friends!

I have been playing with a Whimsy Stamps new release goodie

I mixed up some new and older crafting favourites from
Whimsy Stamps to make these cards!  It's ages since I've made flowers, it is sooooo therapeutic!

I stamped and heat embossed the Tree Ring Background Rubber Cling Stamp in white and blended some inks over the pattern.  (The white heat embossing resists the ink pads leaving the pattern visible - the embossed outline also adds some texture which I personally really like)!

With the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set I cut out the circular background and used two dies together to create the frame from white card.

The flowers are made from lightweight white card die cut with the beautiful
Poppy Flower and Leaf Foliage Die Sets.  I added colour with the same ink pads I used for the backgrounds and used stamens from my stash.

I'll add a link to a fabulous flower making tutorial by Bev Rochester at the end of this post.

I assembled the cards as shown with a strong 3D glue.

To create the sentiment tags I die cut two tags from the Bookmark and Tag Die Set.  The sentiments are from the gorgeous Dudley's Mailed With Love Clear Stamp Set and are stamped in grey ink.

Finally I added some Coral Coast Sparkletz.
