Cute Cacti - THE cutest! Whimsy Stamps New Release...

Hello everyone,

Sending you all good thoughts during these strange days.  I hope you are all staying safe, well and in good spirits.

Today at wonderful
we have one of the cutest releases ever!

Cute Cacti by our lovely Deb Davis (Amped2Stamp)
Just look at those faces!!!

First up - I must apologise for these photos! I'm not sure what my camera was doing but in real life the colours are far more pastel and delicate - I tried to take the pic a gazillion times but I just could not get a closer representation than this!  So - just think pastel !!!

These cards were such fun to make and came together really easily!

I first stamped and coloured the
with Copic Markers
I used a selection of greens - G28, G24, YG13, G21, G20 and YG67, YG17, YG13, YG24
T3, V09, V06, V05, E13, E17

Then I cut them out and set them aside.

Next I die cut the Banner backgrounds and frames with the

I used Catherine Pooler Inks in Tutti Frutti, Sangria and It's A Girl to create the backgrounds along with the

Next I stamped some of the super sentiments from the
Cute Cacti set
and die cut them with the

I then layered the frame, the sentiments and the cacti on to the background and fixed everything down with

Finally I added some glitter to the background using
Star Dust Stickles Glitter Glue
and a little twine bow.

Whimsy Stamps New Release - Hippo Fun In The Sun

Hello everyone,

As it's 1st April today sees the start of
Whimsy Stamps New Release!

I have decided to kick the week off with a fun stamp set
Ingredients from Whimsy Stamps

Other Ingredients
Hammermill Card
Black Ink Pad
Distress Oxide Ink pads in - Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap
Picket Fence Blender Brushes
Copic Markers - Hippo's T5, T3, T1, R11, BG0000, BG10
Reds, R59, R46, R27, R14
Blue/Greens BG09, BG49, BG45, BG32
Sand E37, E35, E33, E31
Blue Glitter Card
Sequins
This card was great fun to make!

Firstly I stamped the cute hippos and coloured them with Copics.  I then cut them out with my Scan and Cut and set them aside.

Next I laid the Slimline Waves Die alongside a piece of card and blended distress inks over the card in roughly the right place to match up with the die.  I used a cloud template made with the Up In The Clouds Die Set and the Making Waves Stencil to create the sky and sea background.

I die cut the inky card and then put it back together as shown, fixing everything firmly to a piece of blue glitter card.

I fixed the hippos to the card as shown with foam tape.

I die cut a piece of card with the smallest cloud die and stamped a sentiment from the Hippos stamp set onto it.  I fixed the cloud to the card design with foam tape.
