Shabby Eeeek!

Good Morning...
Gosh, don't the weeks whizz round!
Here we are back at In The Pink for another super fun challenge.

The challenge this time is Vintage or Shabby Chic and
the prize for the lucky winner is gift voucher for
Today's card is my Shabby Chic DT card made with a gorgeous
Lili of the Valley stamp - Dandelion Clock
I say Shabby Eeeek because I am a bit out of my comfort zone!

I coloured this lovely fairy with Copics and used Neenah Desert Storm Card and papers from the new Lili of the Valley Dress Shoppe Collection to create mats and layers.

I distressed the edges of the card and used a touch of Distress Ink and Frantage around the edge of the image.

I decorated the card with some cheesecloth, lace, flowers, Stamens, twine, jute mesh ribbon and a button from The Ribbon Girl.  Finally I added some adhesive gems and a pearl and gem pin from my trinket box.

Here we are my Shabby Chic card, made all the more chic mainly thanks to that adorable image!

I'm surprised you and the rest of the Pink Ladies haven't put me on the naughty step for choosing such a tough theme - lol! Oh wait, I think I was there already for running late with my card ;-)

Anyway, you did an awesome job with both the shabby and the chic...thank goodness for Frantage and a distressing tool! Of course, the papers are just gorgeous and your colouring of the sweet fairy is lovely :-)

Big hugs, Kat xx

I have to compliment you on your shabby chicness Sue, it's a wonderful card!! I'm afraid I don't get it either and struggle terribly as I simply cannot translate worn furniture, pretty crackled pottery and soft, worn chintzy fabric into card making. ( note to self...I should perhaps remember that analogy when attempting said genre) xx

Well you certainly pulled this Shabby Chic card off beautifully for someone out of their comfort zone. Adorable image and stunning floral detailing.
