Good Morning
This weeks challenge at Creative Inspirations is
Anything Goes + Option of a Sketch.
My DT card felt so gorgeous to make using the beautiful image 'party frock', supplied by
All Dressed Up
This week's prize is from All Dressed Up and is 2 images of the winner's choice.
Here we are then, my DT card for this week's challenge -
I coloured this lovely lady with copics and used a dot of liquid pearls for her earring and head band. I used some papers from K and Company Charlotte range to follow the sketch layout for this week's challenge. I coloured the part of the scalloped card which peeps out with one of the red copics I used for the frock. I distressed the edge of the image (and myself!) with Tea Dye Distress Ink. (It still feels risky to me but I am battling my inner chimp because I so like the effect).
I added cheesecloth, flowers, button and twine from The Ribbon Girl and embellished the card with shimmer domes and adhesive pearls. I also added a stick pin I made myself with some Creative Expressions Finishing Touches pins and gems.
Finally, after some deliberation because it is n't my favourite technique, (yet)! I added some texture paste.
So here we have this lovely lady in red,
all dressed up with hopefully somewhere to go...xxx

This combination of elegant image and details but all distressed and shabbied up with ink and texture paste just looks so wonderful, and I love the pops of red against the neutrals :-)
