Whimsy Stamps Slimline Envelope Edger

Happy Sunday Friends...

I hope you are all keeping safe and well!

I'm slowly getting back into some card making after having surgery again on my leg a couple of weeks ago!

It's been a long old haul but I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank you for sticking with me you lovely lot!

I have decided that I need to avoid the mad Christmas panic that I seem to be in every year!  So, in an attempt to be organised, and following the good example of my card making friend Tina (@tina.mypop) I am intending to make at least two Christmas cards a month!

I'm sneaking January's cards in by the skin of my teeth! (:

Mind you - Whimsy Stamps have such fabulous inspiration and I decided to use the January New Release

Ingredients from Whimsy Stamps

The foliage is cut from bits of scrap card left over from other projects where I blended or swooshed ink onto card!  (I am such a hoarder)!

Thank you for popping by!

Slimline Hearts Background Die - Whimsy Stamps

 Happy Thursday everyone!

I'm whizzing by today with a card made with a fab-u-lous new slimline die from wonderful

I have an up front apology here - the photo's are grim!  The card is glittery which is no bad thing but trying to get a decent pic in Gloucestershire winter light was difficult!  This is as good as it gets - I do hope you can see enough to enjoy this card!

I created the inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder.

When everything was dry I die cut the card with the
and then splattered white paint over it.  (I do this after diecutting as white paint leaves a slightly raised texture which I rather like and it gets crushed if you add it before die cutting!

I then die cut a piece of purple glittery card with the same die and mounted it behind the inky die cut, showing the edge slightly like a shadow.

I fixed the die cuts to a piece of white glitter card and added a strip of purple glitter card along the left hand side.

Finally I stamped a sentiment from the
onto a strip of torn vellum and heat embossed it in blue.

Woodland Slimline Die - Whimsy Stamps

Hello everyone!

I hope Wednesday is being kind to you!

I'm here today to show you a card I made which is something a bit different from me as there is no colouring!

That said, I had a lovely time creating the inky background and putting the design together!

I used some gorgeous new release goodies from wonderful Whimsy Stamps

I then die cut a piece of white card with the same die and mounted it behind the inky die cut, showing the edge slightly like a light reflection.

Next I die cut a piece of white glitter card with the frame from the

I fixed the inky die cut behind the frame with tape and the fixed the entire design to a piece of design paper from the

I used foam tape for this to give a slight 3D effect.

Finally I added a sentiment from my current favourite sentiment set
which I stamped in grey ink onto a piece of card die cut with a
