Quick Cards with Vintage Poinsettia Clear Stamps - Whimsy Stamps

 Happy Fri-YAY friends!

If you are anything like me then despite your best intentions you end up doing nearly everything at the last minute!

I've always been the same - I'm approaching my sixth decade - and there ain't no way I'm likely to change the habit of a lifetime!  (:

To save me (a bit) from flying by the seat of my pants I have designed a set of Christmas cards which are incredibly straightforward and more importantly quick to make.
I used my current favourite stamp set

I created a set of smallish (10cm x 10cm square) cards in a variety of bold colours with the beautiful poinsettia stamped heat embossed in gold.

I added a stamped and die cut sentiment and finished the card off with a few gold sequins.

...truly simples!

Magical Wonderland (Slimline Connected Rectangles - Whimsy Stamps)

 Happy Monday friends!
(There is such a thing - honest)! (:

Today I am showing you a card I made with a gorgeous new
slimline die

This die is soooo elegant and I decided to use it to make a Christmas card to contribute to my own personal 'two Christmas cards a month' challenge!
I created the inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Seedless Preserves, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder.  When everything was dry I splattered white paint over it.

I then die cut a piece of white hammered card with the
and trimmed the inky card so it fitted just inside it.

Then again using white hammered card I die cut the gorgeous
and trimmed and played the trees and deer behind the rectangles.  Once I was happy I glued everything down.

I stamped the Magical Wonderland sentiment from the
onto a piece of hammered card and die cut it with a

Finally I added some Glamour Dust to make the whole scene twinkle!

I'm ahead of the curve here - and that does not happen very often if ever!

My two Christmas cards a month project is going well and my March cards are already in the bag!   o-:

I had a lovely time making these card - there's something so satisfying about colouring gorgeous gnomes!

I have used a stamp set from Whimsy Stamps -

I have used this stamp set a lot - it is a beauty!

The gorgeous gnomes are stamped onto kraft card die cut with the

I used my two favourite large word dies Happy and Merry to die cut some Tartan paper and finally added a sentiment from the
which I stamped onto a banner die cut with the

Finally I added a sentiment from my favourite set

I was inspired by the fabulous artist Jennifer Rustioni (Armi e Ritagli) when I coloured these gnomes.  I Iove how Jennifer adds a 3D shadow to her images - thank you Jennifer for being so inspirational!
