31 Nights of Halloween - Night 28

Hello everyone!

I hope it's a Happy Monday!!!

I'm here today with a spook-tacular project to play along with wonderful
31 Nights of Halloween!
This is the best event of the year!  There is heaps of fa-boo-lous Halloween Inspiration and prizes to be won!  So - stick around until the end of this post to see how you can enter!

I have used one of my favourite images
and the boo-tiful new paper pack

I thought it would be fun to make a little treat bag!

Here are some quick instructions!

Create a 10cm x 30cm strip of black card and score and fold it horizontally at 13cm and 17 cm.
on both ends - make a mark on each side 8cm up from the fold and a mark halfway across the top at 5cm.
Cut the ends into points, punch a hole and round them slightly.  Cut a piece of design paper to fit to the outside of the box when folded, as shown below.
Create a 13cm x 13cm rectangle of black card and cut it in half diagonally making two triangles.  Score the triangles 1cm in from each edge.  Cut a piece of design paper the same size and then trim it to fit inside the triangles.
Fix the longest scored edge of the triangles to the back of the stripy panel
Then fix them across the front of the panel with a row of glue dots along the bottom edge
So - I'm a muppet because I completely forgot to take a pic of the triangles folded and fixed across the front of the stripy panel but hopefully you can get the idea from pic of the finished treat bag!  Please feel free to contact me if you want me to explain further!

I decorated the bag with strip of black card, a skull die cut from the
and a sentiment from the
Goth Girl stamp set
stamped and heat embossed onto a

I stamped and cut out Goth Girl (with my Scan n Cut) and coloured her with Copics
Skin E04, E21, E00, E000
Hair BV04, N4, N6, N8 100
Clothes V17, V15, V12, R17, RVV, G28, G24, G21

Finally I fixed her to the finished gift bag!

The 'gift' is Candy Cane in a cello bag which is fixed to the back panel of the bag with Glue Dots!

Finally - I have to say that sentiment is just PERFECT and sums me up most days!!! (:

World Cardmaking Day with wonderful Whimsy Stamps...

Hello everyone!

There's a world of fun to take part in for
World Cardmaking Day at Wonderful
Whimsy Stamps

We have a blog hop and an instagram hop all with prizes so please join us!

Here is the card I made to celebrate this special day for all of us cardmakers!

I found a fabulous copic colouring tutorial on You Tube by

I was so inspired by the background colouring that I had a go at it myself!  I have been wanting to improve my background colouring and I really enjoyed this!

To make this card I stamped and masked the
far too cute to spook images from the
Whimsy Stamps

I left the masks in place and coloured the image - background first - with Copic Markers.

I removed the masks and completed the colouring.

I am so happy with how this turned out!

I stamped the trick or treat sentiment using the
Whimsy Stamps

Finally I mounted the design onto a piece of turquoise mirri card!

to join in the hopping fun!

new release gorgeousness!

...and oh my word, I have been sat on my hands for a week in excitement about showing you this!

by Krista Heij-Barber
is one of the cutest sets!

You are going to *need* these in your stash because of the amount of fun you'll have creating and the number of different cards you can make!
The card was so straightforward to make!

I blended Distress Oxides in
Worn Lipstick and Barn Door over two 22cm x 10cm rectangles of smooth card (I use Bristol)

Then I flicked water and Perfect Pearls over them and allowed them to dry.
I die cut one piece of blended card with the fabulous new

I trimmed the second into a rectangle measuring 19cm x 7cm and layered the die cut and the rectangle of blended card onto a slightly larger piece of white glitter card.

I stamped the gorgeous and scrumptious images from the
in black ink onto white card and cut them out.

I coloured them with Copics
Skin E04, E11, E00, E000
Hair/Fur Trim/Apron C3, C1, C00, 0
Reds E79, R89, R29
Green, YG17, YG07
Gingerbread House (Cuteness Overload)! (;
BV31, E30, E11, YR31, YR21, E34, E97, E37, E79, R89, R29
Big hugs and thanks to lovely Elaine (Marker Geek) for the colour combo inspiration!

I stamped the Candy Cane Lane sentiment and the coloured images onto the design as shown.
I really hope you love this set of stamps as much as I do!  I have been so excited about showing you all this card!
