A New Day...

Good Morning...

This week's challenge at Creative Inspirations is
Let's Colour!

This week is all about adding some ink, we only want to see images that have been coloured by yourself as the main focal point.
No Coloured Toppers allowed.

This week's prize is from our lovely DT Leader Natalie and is a
WATERCOLOUR PEN SET!
I feel quite emotional about today's card.  I made it as a commission for a lovely crafting friend of mine who is about to emigrate to New Zealand.

I scratched my head a bit when she gave me the details she wanted on the card and after some hours spent on the interweb found Sherri Baldy's wonderful Etsy Shop.  (My bank manager is crying already)!

I have never coloured a 'My Bestie'...I have to say, I am hooked!

For this card I used a Sherri Baldy digi stamp - Bestie Pals
I coloured this sweet twosome with Copics - (using a very different colour palette from my usual choice but it just seemed to suit this cute pair).  I thought given the wonderful weather we have had recently they would look lovely in summery colours.

I used papers from the gorgeous new Romance and Roses Collection by Lili of the Valley to create mats and layers which I distressed around the edge a little.

I added some flowers from deep in my stash!  (Surely, I deserve a pressie now for trying to use up my pretty bits and pieces before I buy any more)! along with some Doodlebug enamel dots.

...and here we are, my first (and definitely not my last) 'My Besties' card...
