A random dash into Poundland saved the day for me with this project!

I popped in for something else and left with a wooden birdhouse ornament from the gardening section! - which cost not surprisingly a pound - bargain!

I covered the house with some of Janet's beautiful digi papers from the
Baby Girl Bears collection and added some birds coloured with Copics from the super cute

I used some die cuts to add detail along with some flowers from

Finally I found the perfect embellishment from my stash - a rusty heart and some wire.

...and here we are, something completely different from me...yay for Poundland!

Wonderful Winnie...

Good Morning lovely friends

Happy Thursday!

Whilst you read this I will be having the scrummiest of days with my lovely friends
   Kat and Annette...
Tea, cake and crafting - dream time!

We have a new challenge starting today at
and it is
Lace

Our sponsor this time is fabulous
with a wonderful $12 for the lucky winner.
I have used - for the first time ever - two gorgeous digi's by
Polkadoodles from the Winnie - Sugar Sprinkles Springtime Collection.
I used the png digi's
and

I have just discovered png files and I love them!  You can use more than one in a design and they are really easy to position.

For my card I cropped and flipped the images to create an image of both Winnie's with their heads together.  (Listen to me sounding like I know what I'm talking about)!  I use Powerpoint for this wizardry and it is really easy! (It needs to be)!

I coloured the image with Copics and went for a very simple layout using some retired papers from Lili of the Valley .  Finally I added a doodled border and some lace.

...and here we are...two super cute Winnies...love them a lot!

Now, you wont be surprised to learn that I adore anything mousey!
Oh boy did I struggle to pick an image for this wonderful challenge!

Eventually, after a selection process Simon Cowell would be proud of, I chose the beautiful  stamp by Penny Black - Caroling Trio from the Slapstick collection.

I coloured these cute meeces with Copics and set them on a simple background of papers from Pink Paislee - City Sidewalks collection.

The sentiment is from A Stamping Bella Stamp (Nachodeer).

Finally, I added a little glittery silver snowflake.

...and here we are, a Caroling Trio who are almost too cute...fa la la la laaaaa, la, la, la laaaaa..

L is for Last Minute!

Good morning lovely friends,

Phew what a scorcher we have had here for the last few days - hope you have all managed to keep your cool! (-:

I want to apologise to you all for not getting round your lovely blogs recently.  Life has been really busy this month.  My youngest has come home from Uni and I had obviously forgotten how much work boys are!

Plus, we have a big fundraising 'Open Village' event for our church every two years and it takes up an enormous amount of time.  It was last weekend.  The weather was a massive bonus and we had a fabulous time but I am still trying to recover - I look like a very hot and tired tomato!

We have a new challenge today at ABC Christmas Challenge and it is
Anything beginning with L
(Anything Christmas that is)!

What a fab challenge, there are so many fun Christmas things begin with L
Lantern, Lamp, Lights, Laughter, Logs, Lapland, Ladies dancing, Lords a leaping, Love, Late night shopping, Leftovers - go for it peeps! I bet you can come up with some really clever Christmas L's!

Our sponsor this time is wonderful
Krista Heij Barber
and the lucky winner will be able to choose three images from Krista's lovely etsy store

I have tried something a little different for this card.

I decided that in my Christmas world L was for Last Minute!

I thought this elegant gent looked like he was in a rush so I created a distress Ink background, stamped him onto it and added some snow...

Simples eh! errrrr not!

I might run a competition for you all to guess how many times the background got crumpled up in the corner!

I got there in the end...and let's hope this lovely gent gets to his Christmas Party too!
