For todays card I used the gorgeous Tiddly Inks Digi
I have coloured this sweetie with Copics and created a little scene for her to stand in - I enjoyed this - it involved a rubber mallet and an embossing folder!
Briefly, you pop your background card inside the embossing folder and hit the folder with a rubber mallet just in the area you would like the embossed image to show on the card.
It took me a few attempts to get the right effect but I rather like it - I like how the pattern fades out and is a random border for the coloured image.
Anyways, once I was happy with it I coloured the background with a Distress Ink Pad and added a little die cut pathway and frame.
Finally I used a couple of sentiments from a set by Whimsy Stamps.

Well that's a new techinque to me, mmm where can I get a rubber mallet. It looks fabulous and I love how she is walking down the path. Beautofully coloured too x

This little girl is truly gorgeous Sue.... your colouring amazes me as always - the folds on her dress give it a lovely swirl! And I'm fascinated by the rubber mallet/embossing folder idea... I must give that a go... but I'm wondering how you came up with the idea??? and you happened to have a rubber mallet handy when you did?? Don't tell me - it's what you use to keep Nige in line!! LOL! Talking of him - I hope he's feeling better now and on the mend from his flu!
