Adventures in Blogland...

Good morning lovely friends...

Today is a rather special!

Exactly one year ago today I started my adventure in blogland' here at tanglemouse cards.

Happy Bloggyversary to me then!

I can not quite believe what a brilliant time I have had, and am still having!

I have met some lovely people both 'virtually' and in real life as a consequence of this wonderful adventure and made some firm friendships so I hope you are all having as much fun as I am!

I will have some candy up for grabs later today so please call back (I just need to figure out how to work the linky thing and how to make the candy post stay at the top, I think the term is 'sticky'...see...totally hopeless with anything technical)!

Anyway, on to today's card which is my Design Collective Inspiration for lovely
I have used the beautiful LOTV stamp
I have coloured this sweetie with Copics and tried something a little different with the background - I followed a tutorial on Copic UK by lovely Faye Wynn-Jones, I love the effect  and will definitely be practicing it again.

I added some twine, a star charm and some cheesecloth from The Ribbon Girl and mounted the little image on a piece of card printed with a lovely digi background by Pink Petticoat.

...and here we are, a little girl dreaming big!...we've all been there, right?...
I would like to enter this card for the following challenges -
As You Like It - Favourite One Or Multi Layer
(I am very admiring of all the striking and stylish Cas creations I see, however, I just love 'using' another layer to complement the image either in it's colour or it's theme).

  5. Hi Sue, a very happy bloggyversary to you, the first of many I'm sure. It's lovely to have you as an online friend and hope we can meet irl soon.
This is a gorgeous card, very striking. The background looks fab and I love the added extras like the charm and cheesecloth.
Good luck with your candy. I can't help you with the linky thing, I just got people to comment for mine. It's easy to keep your post at the top though - just publish it and then go back in and change the date on it to sometime in the future.
    Big hugs,
    Katrina xx

  6. Happy First Bloggy-versary!! I'm so very glad you found blogland - and count myself as one of the friends you found awaiting your arrival!

Now... onto this amazing card! That's one of my favourite LOTV images.. I must dig it out and use it again... and you've made a superb job of colouring it. I also love that fab background technique - it looks so good! You really have a wonderful eye for colours... as the depth of the red on the toadstools is just right also... and then you've put it all against that perfect paper - which although I have endless Pink Petticoat papers... I don't have! LOL!

OK... I'm running out of superlatives now....... you need to stop with the stunners!! hehe!

    Big hugs
    Christine x

  14. Happy Blogversary Lovely Sue. And you've made a fabulous card for your 1 year spot. She's gorgeous. I really do love this image too. I never know what theme to match her to, but she makes a great 'just because' or 'thinking of you' card, and your 'beautiful dream' sentiment goes perfectly too.
