Good Morning...
This week's challenge at
is
'Something Sweet'
This week's prize is from PETAL LU and is a
£10 lucky dip!
My 'inner chimp' got hold of me with this card and I went for the healthy option!...
Well, apples, plums and pumpkins - they're sweet - yes?
I made this card using the adorable Harvest Mice set from MFT.
(I know they only had an outing last week but the are way too cute to stay in the 'to do' pile).
I had a bit of a 'mare' with this card though. I made a purple orange background with my Copic air system and then completely 'fluffed up' stamping the sentiment, grrrr! - did n't have time to do it again so had to go with a paper background.
I coloured these lovely mice with Copics. I used some papers from LOTV's
Bonnets and Bowties and Romance and Roses collections along with some purple Core'dinations card stock. The sentiment is from the Harvest Mice Set.
Finally, I added some teeny tiny stars and a wobbly hand drawn doodle! (oh yes, mad or what given the fluffing up of the sentiment)!
...and here they are, the cutest mice ever with their sweet treats...
I would like to enter this card for the following challenges -

Awww they are so very cute. What a shame with the background, I hate stamping a sentiment once I have coloured, heart in mounth time. Looks lovely with paper anyway x
ReplyDeleteThey are really cute Sue and I love the colours you have chosen here, such a shame about the background but it's still a stunner and we'd never have known!! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful sue, reminds me of my weekend away when we went to visit the local orchard and I came away with a basket full of fresh picked apples and other fruit. I think I need to buy those adorable mice now. Lol your colouring is always excellent!
ReplyDeleteHugs Suzanne x
I love these cute little mice Sue, very industrious couple and beautifully coloured too. It's a shame about your background but you saved the day and it looks great with the paper one too. Stamping after spending time on a piece is always a risky business, sometimes we get away with it and sometimes not but I hope you didn't throw it in the bin, I'm sure you could salvage it and use it on another card.

Aawwww this is lovely Sue and I love your background and the wonderful layout of this card - Michelle x
ReplyDeleteThe green and purple look so good together Sue.. perfect choice of colour combo for this fabulous card! Loving the layout too - and the fab doodling which resembles my ECG trace!!! I've still not got my airbrush out properly - after I had the first nightmare go, it's sat on a shelf since - so well done you for using it!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs

oooooops to the wobbly sentiment and I'm sure the background was fab, but your card still looks wonderful :-) I can see why you couldn't resist using these cute mice again and yes, fruit is sweet and I do LOVE fruit...well, I have to balance out all the chocolate I eat!
ReplyDeleteYou know what else I love? Your fabulous doodling...it adds such a pretty detail to the DP :-)
Big hugs, Kat xx
