Good Morning...
This weeks Challenge at Creative Inspirations is
'Seeing Stars'
The prize for the lucky winner is a £10 voucher to spend at Cult Pens
What a fab prize, I certainly could spend that in a flash!
Today's card for Creative Inspirations is made with the lovely Lili of the Valley fairy stamp- Midsummer's Night. She is coloured in with Copics and I have added a touch of clear Gelly Roll pen and some silver Liquid Pearls to try and make the stars shine bright! I distressed the edge of the image with Tim Holtz Iced Spruce Ink. (Trying at the same time to be brave because I still get the wobbles doing this! Does anyone out there actually ever do the background first because it seems like a good idea to me)?
I have used Bazzill turquoise blue cardstock, digi papers by Pink Petticoat and die cut some stars as embellishments. (I die cut some star shaped spaces in the starry paper and counter sunk some stars into the gaps - I have n't done that before and I was quite happy with the result).
Finally, I added some blue twine and a star charm from The Ribbon Girl.
Here we are, a Midsummer's Night fairy who really is 'seeing stars'
I would like to enter this card for the following Challenge -

Gorgeous cute card, love the fairy and added stars and charm x
ReplyDeleteEver so cute Sue!! A lovely stamp and the additional stars are a sweet touch. When and if I use distress ink around the edge of an image I always do it first to avoid an over zealous smudge mark on a beautifully coloured image!! xx
ReplyDeleteOoh Sue, you've coloured this image in so perfectly, it's just sooooo cute!! And I love how you did the countersunk stars... a clever idea that I'll have to store in my ideas bank that's sometimes called my memory!! hehe!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs
Christine x
A beautiful creation Sue, I loveyour colour combo xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is so clever - I think you have combined stars in every element of your design - DP, embossing, image, die cuts, charm - yep, that's a lot of stars! And it's truly magical :-)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, Kat xx
