Good Evening...
A later post than normal but we have had a busy day in the mouse house! I was asked to join a choir who were singing especially at a very dear man's funeral service this afternoon. Possibly one of the most cheerful funerals I have ever been to, but very fitting for the loveliest of gentlemen!
Today's card is something a bit different for me.
I was very happy when my lovely friend Sheila (who is the extremely hardworking owner of Pink Tulip Creations) gave me this beautiful uncoloured image from The Hobby House and asked if I could make a card.
Well, I have to say, I am hooked! Aside from being such a darling image, the card was some of the best to colour on with Copics I have ever come across! (Yes, I know I am a marker geek and I should get out more)!

Anyway, I coloured this sweetie with Copics then layered and matted her up with some blue card and some papers from Maya Road Vintage Spring Basics.
I added a die cut butterfly and some Hobby House Flowers along with some lace and adhesive pearls.
Finally, I added some twine and a charm from the Ribbon Girl and dotted about a little bit of Liquid Pearls.
And here we are, a brave girl dipping her toe in the water, (I know how she feels)!

Hi Sue.... I always love Elisabeth Bell images.... and you've coloured this one so beautifully and put it on a fabulous layout too with all those gorgeous flowers! My favourite EB image used to be one called Daisy.... in fact I did a colouring video tutorial with her (at the top of my blog page if you want to take a peek!) It was a couple of years back now, and my colouring hopefully has improved a bit!
ReplyDeleteAnd from one marker geek to another......... 'nowt wrong with that! (said with a Yorkshire accent...)
Big hugs

It's nice to do something a bit different occasionally especially when it turns out this gorgeous! The pretty papers and flowers work beautifully with the image and I love all the layering :-)
ReplyDeleteI am also a marker geek, I love my Copics and keep trying to get better with them so cardstock is really important and I have tried a few in my quest for the perfect one! I find that not everyone finds the same card the best as it seems to depend a bit on your colouring style but I am currently using the Copic X-press It blending card and finding it really good.
Big hugs, Kat xx
Absolutely gorgeous! Such a beautiful design for this lovely image.

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteAwww.....the Elisabeth Bell images one doesn't see that often in blogland anymore, and that's a shame, they're adorable, always puts a smile on my face. She's so cute, as is your card, and just right for our Signs of Spring challenge. Thanks for joining LLC this month.
