Brief Encounter...

Good afternoon!

Brief Encounter eh?  I don't think so based on how long it took me to make today's card!  To be honest it wasn't the 'making' part, it was more the thinking and twiddling part!  In fact today's card is quite different from the card I had in mind when I chose this sweet Tiddly Inks image.  (This has got something, well, everything(!) to do with my visit to my lovely friends at Pink Tulip Creations yesterday! I simply could n't resist the Kaisercraft papers there which just seemed to suit Aida so nicely).

To make today's card I used copic markers to colour the delightful 'Aida' - gonna miss you' from Tiddly Inks in a vintage/sepia style.  I die cut the image with a Little B die and went on to layer and mount the image using some papers from Kaisercraft.  I added some cream flowers and ivory ribbons and embellishments from The Ribbon Girl along with some other findings from my trinket box.  I fiddled for ages trying bits here and there and this the card I ended up with...xxx

      Thank you Christine...my photography has I think made the image a little brighter than it is in reality - but another new technique tried out and I am happy overall...thank you for visiting and commenting...xxx

    It's fabulous Sue... your colouring of the images is perfect.. and the papers match it so well. And I'm with you in the thinking/twiddling/fiddling bit.... that takes me SOOOOOO long!

    Wow! I loooove your card. Gorgeous colours and I love those flowers on the left too. I often do more thinking and twiddling on my cards than making too so I completely understand! Great take on the sketch too x
