Cosy and Warm

Good Evening...

Cosy and warm is the best title I could think of today given that the weather here is enough to blow you over and freeze you to death!  I am chuckling to myself now as I realise that  I start most of my Blog posts off with a comment about our Great British Weather (not)!

Today's card is made with a House Mouse Stamp - 'Knit Gift', I think this is such an adorable image!

I coloured the image with copic markers, mounted and layered it up with some Papermania papers and used a sheet of Papermania Kraft card embossed with dots as the background.

I slightly distressed the edges of the image with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - 'Tea Dye'.  (Never done that before but I thought it was about time I gave it a go and the white card needed dulling down a bit)!

I added some natural twine from The Ribbon Girl and some jute ribbon. adhesive pearls and embellishments from my trinket box.  Finally to finish the card off I added two little labels stamped with Lili of the Valley sentiment tags and embossed with clear powder.

I decided to try and make this card a little less fussy as I did n't want to overwhelm these two delightful little mouse friends.

Sunshine on a rainy day!

Good Morning...

Happy to be back in the world of crafty bloggin' today so I can avoid looking at or thinking about some pretty awful, extremely wet and windy weather!  (Can still hear it though...radio needs turning up I think)!

Today's card is Magnolia's 'Ribbon Tilda' (this is my first ever Tilda), stamped and then coloured with copic markers.  I have used some Kraft card and papers from Pion to mount the image.  I have then added lace, cheesecloth, twine and flowers from The Ribbon Girl along with some other embellishments and pearls from my trinket box.

Finally, (and this is another first for me), I have dotted the card with some texture paste, (that felt weird)!!  I am a bit of a perfectionist...love straight lines and all that, so daubing 'goo' all over a finished card went well against the grain!  I have to say though I am happy with the end result!

Thank heaven for little boys....

Good Morning!

I am an early bird today, and adding an extra card!  ( I don't usually have chance on a Monday)!

Today's card is an unusual one for me.  I don't have an excuse to make many cards for small humans as my boys are now all grown up, luckily though I stumbled across an adorable range of Digi's at Pink Gem Designs and could n't resist this one - 'Josh with Dinosaurs'

I coloured the little chap and his dinosaur friends with copic markers, die cut him out and then layered him up with digital papers from Pink Petticoat on a card I had embossed with large dots.  Finally I added a dinosaur charm from The Ribbon Girl and ribbon and a starry button from my trinket box.

Say hello to Josh and his dinosaurs...xxx

a butterfly is a flying flower...

Good Morning!

fliipin' freezin' here today and pouring with rain...good day to be sat in the warm being crafty in my opinion, but then every day is a good day for that!

Today's card is made with a lovely Sugar Nellie digi stamp from Funky Kits called 'butterfly pursuit'.  I printed the image direct to a sheet of Make it Colour Blending Card with a butterfly quote I found on the internet.  I coloured the image with copic markers and embossed the edge of the card with a tattered lace embossing folder.

Finally, I added some twine, a charm and a heart button from The Ribbon Girl, raided my trinket box for the flower shaped and teeny tiny star shaped buttons and there we are...finished...xxx

Brief Encounter...

Good afternoon!

Brief Encounter eh?  I don't think so based on how long it took me to make today's card!  To be honest it wasn't the 'making' part, it was more the thinking and twiddling part!  In fact today's card is quite different from the card I had in mind when I chose this sweet Tiddly Inks image.  (This has got something, well, everything(!) to do with my visit to my lovely friends at Pink Tulip Creations yesterday! I simply could n't resist the Kaisercraft papers there which just seemed to suit Aida so nicely).

To make today's card I used copic markers to colour the delightful 'Aida' - gonna miss you' from Tiddly Inks in a vintage/sepia style.  I die cut the image with a Little B die and went on to layer and mount the image using some papers from Kaisercraft.  I added some cream flowers and ivory ribbons and embellishments from The Ribbon Girl along with some other findings from my trinket box.  I fiddled for ages trying bits here and there and this the card I ended up with...xxx

Good Morning...

New Tricks...

Good afternoon!

Gosh, the last week has flown by,  I really don't know where the days have gone!

I have tried some new techniques in today's card; I really admire the beautiful shabby chic style flower adorned cards that you lovely talented ladies out there create.  I have never made a card in that style as I have to admit to being rather too fond of straight lines...! But as there is a first time for everything...here goes!

I have used a lovely Lili of the Valley stamp - 'on tiptoe', coloured with copics.  The papers are digital prints from Pink Petticoat, distressed around the edge with a Tim Holtz paper distressing tool.  (The paper was n't the only thing distressed! I did n't feel too good myself roughing up all the straight edges on that paper!).  The gingham paper strip across the card has been embossed with a Sheena Douglas embossing folder 'fabulous florals'.  I have then decorated the image with a flowers, twine and a charm from The Ribbon Girl.  The doily and pink button are from my trinket box.  The white dots are by Papermania.

So here we have it, my first truly flowery card...xxx

Up and Running...

What a lovely few days I've had, thank you for all the kind words and support for tanglemouse!  I am quite overwhelmed and thoroughly delighted that my first card creation has had such a positive response...blogger's beginners luck I reckon!

Well, on we go then... Today's card is made with a House Mouse stamped image (so cute this one but then again, are n't they all).  I have coloured these sweeties using twinkling H2O's.  The card itself has been dotty embossed and the background is die cut from selection of digi papers from Pink Petticoat.  The sentiment is also from Pink Petticoat and I have raided my trinket box for the embellishments.  Adorable mice and just in time for Valentine's Day.
