Time for Tea...

Good afternoon friends...

I don't usually do this but I am squeezing in an extra blog post today.  Reason being - I really want to support lovely Fi Robertson at Handmade Bliss with her first new blog challenge.
So...this card is made with the gorgeous Stamping Bella stamp,
Maisie and Madeleine Have Tea.

I have combined Copic colouring and paper piecing for the tea cup and flower.  I have never done that before! (and mutters under breath 'I am not sure I will do it again!!).  Friends and followers will be aware that am not a great fan of fussy cutting...I can't even cut in a straight line using a guillotine!

Anyway, I stuck with it and ended up fairly pleased with the result...good old 'Dr U Tube' helped out...!

I used some papers from Maja Designs to create mats and layers and added some hand stitching (oh yes!! time on my hands obviously...well obviously not as I have hardly any time left to add my card to the linky thingy and am frantically trying to type faster)!

Lack of time helped me to decide to keep the card fairly simple so I added a bit of twine and some flowers and left it at that.

So Maisie and Madeleine having tea...which is exactly what I plan to do as soon as I have pressed the publish button!

A Pink Sweetie...

Good Morning...
Today's card is the gorgeous 'Titania', a Sugar Nellie stamp by Funky Kits.
Today's card is my DT card for
and

I can't quite believe how lucky I am to be able to make cards to showcase two such lovely challenges... A friend of mine asked if that made me 'a pink sweetie'!

The challenge at In The Pink is 'Things With Wings' and the prize is a £10 gift voucher for
The challenge at The Sugar Bowl is 'anything goes' (with a Sugar Nellie Image). The prize for the lucky winner is four Sugar Nellie Digital Images, and there is a second prize winner of two Sugar Nellie Digital Images from
Well, I so loved the last twisted easel card I made that I decided to make another.  They really are very straightforward and look so effective...such a perfect way to show off this beautiful fairy image.

This lovely fairy is coloured with copics and her wings and sparkly bits are embellished with  Gelly Roll Sakura Pens in Clear and Silver.  I used a little Frantage to decorate the edge of the image and the sentiment.

I used Papermania cardstock and Joy Crafts paper to create mats and layers.

The flowers and cheesecloth are from The Ribbon Girl and the little bottle and fairy charm are from my trinket box.  I use some white glitter to make magic fairy dust!

The sentiment is from a lovely set by Lili of the Valley - Fairy Sentiments.

Finally, I added some shimmer pearls from Papermania.

And here we are, beautiful Titania, adding magic and fairy dust where ever she goes...that's not a bad thing is it?...

Fairy Fainthearted!...

Good Morning...

This week's challenge at Creative Inspirations is Pastel Shades!

This week's prize is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and is a
£10 gift voucher.
Today's DT card for this exciting challenge is made with the gorgeous
Tiddly Inks Clear Stamp - Fairy Tenderhearted.

I have had this stamp for ages.  I just love this image but she has stayed firmly stashed away because I am such a fainthearted hair colouring coward!  I have to say if it was n't for
she would probably still be in the 'too difficult' drawer!!

Anyway, I gave myself a talking to and coloured her with Copics.  I used the odd spot of Liquid pearls and some stickles glitter to make her a bit sparkly.  I used a little distress ink pad in Tea Dye to dull down the edge of the white card.

I used quite old Papermania Capsule Papers and quite new Maya Road papers to create mats and layers along with a doily and cheesecloth.  I also used some fairly old (again)! grey hessian ribbon and blue silk ribbon.

Finally, because I love them and that's a good enough reason, I used a punch to make some teeny tiny flowers which I decorated with teeny tiny adhesive pearls and then used to embellish the edge of the image.

The finishing touch was some twine and a button from The Ribbon Girl along with some adhesive pearls.

Here we have her Fairy Tenderhearted made by the fainthearted!

I thought that the lovely seesaw image really suited a rocker card!

I coloured this sweet pair with Copics and used papers from the gorgeous LOTV Bonnets and Bowties and Pastel Dreams collections to create layers.  I used Grand Nestabilities Dies and a sweet Magnolia Doo Hickey Die to cut out some of the papers.

I used one of my favourite embellishments - teeny tiny punched flowers - to add some decoration along with a LOTV 'Dreamy Days' circular sentiment.  I used some liquid pearls and adhesive pearls to make the flower centres.

And here we are, an adorable pair just taking in the summer air and being happy together...

Good Morning...

I was lucky enough to win Elisabeth's last challenge and part of the prize was to be a Guest DT for the May Challenge.  I am so thrilled to be asked to join in.  How lucky am I?
I used this lovely image by Elisabeth Bell from The Hobby House Art Book - Summer Daze.
I coloured this cute duo with Copics and used a clear Gelly Roll Pen to embellish some parts of the image - fish, flowers and rushes.

Hugs...

Good Morning...

This weeks challenge at Creative Inspirations is
Anything Goes + Option Of a Sketch

The challenge is sponsored by Time For Tea Designs
and the prize for the lucky winner is 5 of their gorgeous digi's.
Today's card is made with a super cute Sugar Nellie Rubber Stamp by Funky Kits
'Hugs For Fifi' which I have coloured with Copics.  (I had a play with the Copic Spica's again on the stars on the frock and the little dog's bow tie but sadly the ipad camera is not good at picking up the sparkle).  I used a teensy bit of Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad around the edge of the image to soften the look a bit.

I have used Kraft card and paper by Graphic 45 to create mats and layers and added some machine stitching around the edges.

Finally I added twine, flowers and a button from The Ribbon Girl as embellishments alog with a few adhesive pearls.  (Thank you to my lovely blogging friend Kat W (Paper Firefly) who inspired me to add the pearls in a random fashion rather than a straight line).

And here we are - Hugs for Fifi, such a cute image...

Mouse in a tangle...!

Good Morning...

Today's card is for the lovely Lili of the Valley Design Collective.
It is made with the stamped image 'Fairy with Dove'

Speaking candidly, I may have taken on a bit of a challenge making this card!  Firstly, I decided to make a twisted easel card (never done that before...shhhh don't tell anyone, I think I may have got away with it)!  If any of you are interested in whiling away far too much time when you could be ironing!!! there are plenty of on line tutorials for this - twisted easel cards that is, not ironing!

Secondly, I love using mats and layers and my dies weren't the correct size consecutively to look right so I ended up drawing around them and cutting the purple mats out by hand...aaaarrrggghhh!

And then, if that was n't enough for one day I decided to use some gorgeous Lili papers to make my own flowers with an MFT die I have had lounging round in my stash for a while!

Well...Life is too short not to make a go of it and what else is a gal to do when it is pouring down with rain and freezing cold?
Right, the techy bit...
I coloured this lovely image..oh hang on, I must tell you that my hubby picked this one!  I could n't decide which stamp to use so I put a few out, (Obviously I did n't let him see how many there really were...(-;) ) and asked him to pick for me...this was his choice...he liked the fact the lovely fairy is holding a bird...bless him!

Anyway, I coloured her with Copics and used some liquid pearls, stickles and a white pen to embellish her.

I used a selection of Gorgeous Lili of the Valley papers to create mats, layers, die cuts and
flowers.

The sentiment is also from an adorable set by Lili of the Valley - 'Fairy Sentiments'.

and here we are, a beautiful fairy contemplating ..well who knows?...with her darling friend...I just love it!

Glamour is a State of Mind...

Good Morning...
Today's card is my first DT card for In The Pink.  I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be joining Christine and the other lovely designers as
A Pink Lady, it really is such an honour.

This week's challenge at In The Pink is
Stitching - real or faux

The prize for the lucky winner is a £10 voucher from the fabulous
Today's card is made with a lovely Stamping Bella Stamp 'Charlotte Loves To Shop'.

Now, disclaimer coming up... I did use quite a lot of colours for this card owing to the vast amount of shopping bags Charlotte has!  I did n't want her to be boring!

I also had a play with a new present, bought for purely medicinal reasons of course to cheer me up whilst my shoulder has been poorly...(-;...  I bought some Copic Spica glitter pens which are really good fun so I coloured in the parcels and tissue paper, and lacy edged jeans and shoes...and...oh well...quite a lot was coloured with them in the end so I could try the colours out!  (Just a shame the camera does n't quite capture the sparkle)...

I used card and papers to create layers and mats and added a sentiment I made on the computer.  I decided to use machine stitching this time.  I don't really have a preference - real or faux, but I just thought machine stitching would suit this card better.

Finally, I added some twine, sequins and a shimmer dome to complete the glamour.

Here we are then...Charlotte shopping...you go girl!
