The Santa Express...

Good morning everyone,

Well, so much for yesterday being a heatwave and the best September day in the history of the world!
it wasn't either of those here!  Wall to wall thunder and lightening and really muggy!

Anyways, seems like a perfect day to think about Christmas cards!
We have a new challenge starting today at
and it is
Sew What - Real or Faux!
so (sew)! - we want to see your gorgeous Christmas cards with some real or pretend stitching on them.

Our generous sponsor this time is
Freckled Fawn
with a fab $15 voucher for the lucky winner.

I have a bit of a thing for stitched dies so I decided to make a card with faux stitching using an MFT die.

I used two images from gorgeous Little Miss Muffet Stamps - (I was lucky enough to win a recent challenge at LMMS and I had no difficulty using my generous gift voucher)!
I coloured these images with Copics, cut them out with a stitched rectangle die and made a trifold card.  The centre panel is made with Grunge Christmas Postmarks sentiments from Lili of the Valley

...and here we are...too cute - I loved it when my boys were little 'uns!

This is a glorious card Sue, great design and really lovely images. We had rain and thunder all day yesterday. Thankfully it's sunny today. Cathy x

Toot! Toot! This is wonderful Sue and I love your choice of stamps too!! A brilliant design to showcase them. I was only wondering the other day what happened to Dec and Connor's Brio train set...one of life's mysteries I guess!! We had the same weather here yesterday, thank goodness for air conditioning at work, outside it was like being in a hot shower with horrendous thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure!! xx

Total gorgeousness Sue.. stunning colouring (no surprise there!), and a fabulously put together design! LOVING that tri-fold (will have to give that a go!) and the images you've used go so well together! I can tell you have sons, as you always do 'boy cards' so well!

We had wonderful weather yesterday... see... I told you that you live in the wrong place!! Come on up to Yorkshire!

Wow, that is so odd because we had a lovely day yesterday although the nest of the sunshine was in the morning, but we even went out for a walk early afternoon...oh boy, it was toasty though!
This morning was a whole other story because it was wall to wall mist on my drive to work! Much nicer now :-)
Still slightly on a weather theme, it seems to have moved very quickly from Autumn into Winter on your blog - lol! I don't even want to think about how not very long it is until Christmas! But I do love to see Christmas cards and this tri-fold design is super...and you get to show off lots of your amazing colouring - hurrah!
Big hugs, Kat xx
