Winter Fun

Good Morning everyone...

I am so pleased to say I have been asked to join the super talented DT at

I am really chuffed about this - I absolutely love The Paper Shelter's gorgeous digi's.
Today, a new challenge starts HERE at The Paper Shelter
and it is
Winter Sports
Wow, what's not to like about this as a prize bundle!

For my first DT card I have used the cutest Paper Shelter digi -
Candy Ski
It took me three days to make this card!  two and half of them were spent looking for the candy cane design paper I have used!  I knew it would be perfect for this lovely image and do you think I could lay my hands on it!

I did eventually, it was in the last placed I looked!

Anyway, I cut this cutie out with my Silhouette Portrait, coloured him with Copics and mounted him on a little stepper card with a wonderful Christmas background created from various die cuts.

For the snow I used a new 'thing' I bought before Christmas - Frantage Shaved Ice, and a painted the candy canes and candy wheels with Glossy Accents.

...and here we are, he is so cute and I definitely think he is going to win the downhill race!...

Tea & Chat...

Good evening lovely friends...

Only five more sleeps until lovely Lili of the Valley launch the gorgeous sets of trios which the super Design Collective and I have been sharing with you all.

So...make sure you are all set and ready to hit the 'add to my basket' button at Midday on Wednesday 28th January!

Here is my second Sneak Peek of the really adorable Time for Tea Trio - perfect for me because I am a great lover of tea...we have tea on tap at our house which reminds me of a wonderful phrase from Len Goodman (Strictly Come Dancing).  He recently said..
'I am a cup of tea in a skinny latte world...'
I know exactly what he means!
For my second sneak peek I decided to make a quirky card/tea gift.  The card is tea cup shaped and opens up to reveal a little pocket with a tea bag in it, attached to a sentiment mounted on the front of the card.

I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut the tea cup and the additional paper shapes.

I coloured one of the trios with Copics and die cut one of the three sentiment that also comes with these wonderful trios.

...and here we are, tea for two.  I think this would make a wonderful little gift for a tea drinking friend...Pity there is n't room in the little pocket for cake as well!
and here is the inside...

Tea Cup Template from Silhouette Design Store

B is for Bauble...

Hello again everyone.

A new challenge starts today at
and it is
B for Bauble
(remember this is a Christmas Challenge and we love to see your festive creations)!

This challenge is sponsored by
and the prize for the lucky winner is

7 Bugaboo digi's of their choice.

To make my Bauble inspired card I chose the gorgeous Bugaboo digi
Ava Christmas - Mistletoe Fairy

I coloured her with Copics and added some glamour dust to her wings.

Just a little side story...
When I went to the NEC in November I treated myself to a Cameo Portrait.  I duly unpacked it and I have looked at it in awe and wonder (and fear) ever since!  (I am hopeless with anything with a plug, my boys have to operate the DVD for me)!

This weekend I decided to read the instructions (ha! - who am I kidding, I looked on U Tube and went to Silhouette School - which is a fabulous by the way)!

With the help of some online instruction, I learned how to print and cut - so lovely Ava was my first attempt and I am really happy with how she came out.

I also cut the bauble shape out with the Cameo - new favourite gadget this week!

so...here we are, with enormous thanks to modern technology -

Imagine...

Good morning lovely friends...

This weeks challenge at
is anything goes plus the option of a sketch.
All the details can be found

The prize this time is two digi's of the winners choice from
All Dressed Up

For my card I have used the beautiful All Dressed Up Stamp -
Flower Fairy

Now, I would normally avoid the colour yellow at all costs, but I was very taken with this  yellow Copic colour combination which popped up on Pinterest, quaintly called 'buttercup'!

I coloured this gorgeous image with copics and added some sparkle to her wings with Stickles.

For the background I tried something new - a technique from a Copic Tutorial by wonderful Faye from stampinfluffnstuff - the technique is called a smooshy background, I enjoyed it and will definitely try it again.

I mounted the card on papers from  Craftwork Cards and created a die cut frame.  For embellishments I added some pink bakers twine, some clear gems and a simple sentiment.

...and here we are, a sweet flower fairy...
