Fall Is In The Air...

Good Morning friends...

Here we are on the last day of November - it does n't seem possible!  The month has flown by far too fast!  Expect the next one will too which is scary!

I am here with a bit of fun today.  My card is for a My Besties UK extra post - not a challenge but a bit of fun for you all.

All you need to do is pop to My Besties UK and leave a comment for the design team to be in with a chance to win one of the images used in today's post.
To make my card I have used Sherri Baldy's gorgeous digi
This lovely image is available from

I have gone for a simple layout because I wanted this cutie with her lovely poem to be
'the main event'.  I have coloured her with Copics, used a die cut frame with Lili of the Valley papers and added some leaves and buttons.  Finally I added bit of shimmer with some gold Stickles.

Following my lovely day colouring with Faye last week, I decided to give purple hair a try.  More practice required I think but somehow it suits this Fall Princess!

Winter Wonderland...

Good Afternoon everyone...

I added some Stickles to the fur on Santa's suit and embellished this card with some twine and a charm from The Ribbon Girl. Finally I added a sentiments from Lili of the Valley's Christmas Sentiment Tags.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Good Morning everyone...

While you are reading this Wednesday morning I will be sat on a train wending its way to Derby to take me to another wonderful Copic workshop with lovely
Faye Wynn-Jones, (stampinfluffnstuff)! Exciting!
The Challenge this week at
is
White on White
All the details can be found

This week's prize is from
LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS
and is a
£10 VOUCHER!

The next time anyone mentions White on White I am 'pulling a sicky'!!!
I found this card a real challenge and have come to the conclusion it is because my crafty world is a colourful one!

I decided to make a little Christmas scene using some die cuts and glitter,
despite being in a state of panic throughout, I did end up happy with my card.

I have used two different sorts of card, both white, one is linen, yet in the photo they look completely different colours - in real life the card is totally white!

...and here we are, I'm dreaming (or is that having a nightmare)! about a white Christmas!

A Christmas Gem...

Good morning everyone...

This is my second post as a Guest Designer at A Gem Of A Challenge

I have loved being a temporary member of this very talented team - a big thank you to Christine and the team for having me.

A new challenge starts today at A Gem Of A Challenge
Favourite Christmas Carol

For my card I have chosen the beautiful Baby Jesus digi stamp
by

I am just keeping my favourite song up my sleeve for the moment though!
I decided this super cute image was perfect for a little Christmas shaker card.

I have used Copics and some Gold Stickles to colour the image and added some gold die cut stars and beads as the shaky bit.

(There are oodles of very straightforward tutorials on Pinterest for making shaker cards if you want to have a go.  However, a little tip I have discovered is to use a cotton bud to rub a bit of  powder on the inner edge of your foam tape - this removes the sticky and stops the shaky bits sticking to the tape - simples)!

I used a piece of paper from Lili of the Valley's Heartfelt collection to make the die cut frame.

and here we are, Baby Jesus and here is a link to my favourite Christmas song
Mary's Boy Child  -  The Harry Belafonte version.

This song reminds me so much of my very early childhood, This was one of the first Christmas songs I learnt to sing - I feel quite emotional now remembering that as I can as clear as day see and hear my beloved Dad, Mum, Aunt and Uncle (all sadly no longer with us) in a family Christmas Day sing a long session.  Happy days! - the youngster's today would think we were mad!

Did someone mention Choklit!...

Good afternoon everyone...

Here is my latest Design Collective project for lovely
The first thing I must say is big thank you to my lovely and talented friend Kat (who you can find HERE).  Kat inspired me to make this project when she gave me a gorgeous Halloween gift made in a very similar style.

I have borrowed Kat's wonderful idea and made a Christmas Treat Bag.

The template for the bag is very like that which you would use for a crossover card.  That works really well because it leaves a little pocket on the front to pop a tag inside.

I have added lots of pictures which I hope will help!  (I failed totally to plan ahead here because I now realise I should have taken some pictures as I went along - oh well, perhaps I will make another one - choklit is involved after all (-;)

I have used one of the stamps from Lili of the Valley's beautiful
Santa Christmas Trio set along with a sentiment from LOTV's

...and here we are, a little Christmas treat bag...
(other choklits are of course available)!
