Time Flies...

Good Afternoon...
I can hardly believe I am typing this...

Here is my first card for the Lili of the Valley Design Collective.
I decided to use the very lovely fairy stamp - 'Time Flies'.  (It certainly does, in the blink of an eye a quarter of the year has gone by)!

I coloured this lovely little one with copics and painted her wings with Frosted Lace Stickles.

I  used Lili of the Valley papers to mat and layer the finished image.  I distressed the edges of the papers to give the card a softer look.  I added some pastel coloured flowers from The Ribbon Girl along with some adhesive gems by Papermania.

I did try a couple of new techniques this time.  I coloured the background in with two different colours - I hope that has worked because I think I did it with my eyes shut in terror!  So unsettling to do that to a finished image!  I think I might start with the background next time!

I also used Glossy Accents and Ice Diamond to accentuate the dandelion head and the little floating seeds.  They look really twinkly but the camera has n't quite captured the full effect!

And here we are - a carefree fairy making a wish as time flies...

A delicate and pretty design for this delicate and pretty little fairy - she is so lovely :-) I think I popped her in my basket on my latest order but I ordered quite a few and can't actually remember which ones - lol!
Your colouring is all gorgeous but I especially love the 2-tone background - I would have my eyes shut doing this too but I really must stretch myself and do it more often.

Big hugs, Kat xx

Woww... I'm loving this... particularly that two tone background - so perfect - as if the dandelion head is lighting up her little world! It's such a shame the camera won't pick up the sparkle sometimes.. I often find if you lay down the card and point the camera downward (particularly with an OTT lite) - the sparkle shows better..

Big hugs
